Singles?

So ..What makes a single a single??

Something I'd never really though about much until it came to putting songs I'd written on an album and deciding how best to promote it!

my opinion..it's a bit of everything, music, lyrics, subject matter, length of the song chorus...

The racks I decided would be singles from my music just sort of came naturally to me..

Tonight📷 I only chose this one track from my debut album, it was one of the first tracks I recorded for it fully, and the lyrics and feel of the song lent itself to what I was doing overall with the album recoding.

This track from the second album 'A Little Glimpse of Light' is an upbeat tune with a bass beat running through it.  as mentioned in the earlier blog on that album, this was inspired by the legendary Neil Diamond.

The Busker was an easy pick for the second single from the second album

have said it's quite like an Oasis sound?  Maybe...I like the lyrics, and the atmosphere of it!! A very simple recording

Second single from the TWBN album, again some have said it has a big type

📷Oasis type chorus..theres also a reprise at the end of the album with just the chorus and a load of guitars and drums...

This is the opening track from my new album 'Indigent' due out shortly (as of 15/5/18) The album is the story of someone who becomes homeless and his journey to the end.  A very topical story at this time

Second single from the 'Indigent' album..due out soon.  It's in 3 linked parts.  This follows our characters first night on the street, the chaos of street living, being there for many years and then a lament of the loneliness of living on the streets.

again a nod and a wink to those great singer songwriters and their storytelling, a story of two lonely souls meeting again after many years...and as the title says part one...so more to come!!  This will be one of the tracks on my next album AFTER the 'Indigent' album has been completed.
